Andy Hart grew up in McMinnville, Oregon. He obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing from the University of Oregon. At a young age, he learned that the practice of law is an honorable profession full of good, dedicated people. He was taught this by his father, an attorney in McMinnville.
After obtaining his Juris Doctorate from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, Andy became actively involved and was employed with Metro Volunteer Lawyers (MVL). He served as MVL President in 2014-2015 and currently serves on the Board of Directors. He remains grateful for the opportunity to have worked for an organization that helps so many people who lack the resources to hire an attorney, and he continues to support their efforts as a volunteer.
It was through his work with MVL that Andy gained a passion for Family Law, as it affords him the opportunity to help people through very difficult times in their lives. Andy approaches each case with compassion, and understands that divorce and family issues are often the most trying circumstances in a person’s life. Andy also serves as a Guardian ad litem for mentally incapacitated adults in domestic matters.
In his spare time, Andy spends time with his family exploring Colorado and all it has to offer – hiking, backpacking, cycling and skiing all over the State. When not engaged in outdoor pursuits, Andy enjoys spending time with friends and family, reading a good book, and rabidly cheering on the University of Oregon Ducks.
